Subj: Longmire Street Construction
Dear Landowner,
The City of Yelm has issued a construction permit for Longmire Street. Tahoma Terra LLC in conjunction with Rainier General Development and SCI will be rebuilding this street from Yelm
Ave West (SR 510) to the intersection of Durant St. This process is expected to take 3 months.
The contractors will be completing the section of Longmire from SR 510 to McKenzie St first in an effort to limit the amount of time the residents of this area will be impacted. We are
sorry that you will be impacted by this construction. However, the finished roadway will be much improved. It will have new paving, wider driving lanes, sidewalks, curb and gutters,
street trees and street lighting.
During this time, portions of the roadway will be restricted to “Local Access Only” and Longmire Street will be closed at Yelm Ave West (SR 510). With the roadway closed at SR 510/Longmire
we ask that you utilize a detour route on Solberg and McKenzie St to access Longmire. Berry Valley Road will also be available as a second detour.
