Dear Mr. Metcalf:
This letter is regarding your property at the corner of Yelm Avenue East and Clark Road, the site of NAPA Auto Parts and Walt’s Tire.
Specifically, staff from the Community Development Department have noticed that trucks serving the businesses at the site have not been using the identified unloading zones on the site
itself but rather blocking a travel lane of Clark Road, a public street, to unload. This practice is unacceptable.
As you may recall, having two loading spaces was a condition of your land use approval and during civil engineering review, the Department expressed concern that the spaces provided
would not be adequate for the businesses needs. We were assured that the loading spaces would in fact be adequate and would be used by the businesses.
By copy of this letter, I am notifying the Yelm Police Department that unloading on Clark Road is not approved and requesting enforcement should continued violations occur.
If you have any questions while you are revising the application materials, please don’t hesitate to contact the Department.
Sincerely,
Grant Beck
