Attached is the application packet for the above referenced project. After your initial review of the information
submitted, if you need additional information from the applicant, please let me know as soon as possible. The
following is the tentative review schedule for the project.
August 27 and September 3, 2003 -SPRC project review. Department comments/conditions of approval
for staff report.
September 15 -Complete staff recommendation to Hearing Examiner
September 15, 2003 -Notice of Public Hearing to paper, 300' and post site.
September 17, 2003 -Mail Staff report
September 29, 2003 -Public Hearing.

Variances are for the modification of size, dimension or design requirements in situations where
unusual physical~conditions of the property, such as shape or topography, make it impossible or unduly
difficult to meet requirements of the zoning district or other City standards. The power to vary is limited
to the minimum change necessary to overcome the inequality inherent in the property.
Variances are granted on-y when the following specific circumstances exist:
1. The change must not constitute a rezone. It must not be for a use not permitted in the district.
