Until a complete application is made, the planning, engineering and/or public works department can only attempt to inform the applicant of general requirements as they appear in the form presented by the applicant at the time of pre-submission. Proponent: City of Yelm Public Works Project: Add Animal Impound Facility Project Loc: 901 Rhoton Road Water: The proposed site is currently connected to the City of Yelm’s water system. Your proposal does not show any additional water connections at this time. No water fees will need to be collected based on this proposal. Sewer: The proposed building is currently connected to the City of Yelm’s STEP sewer system. Your proposal does not show any additional sewer connections at this time. You are proposing to connect an area drain to a holding tank for flushing and washing down the kennel areas. No sewer fees will need to be collected based on this proposal. Fire: Fire protection to the buildings must be provided per the Uniform Building Code. This will be determined upon further review of the architectural plans. Stormwater: Developments with over 5,000 sq ft of impervious surface are required to provide stormwater facilities per the DOE Stormwater Manual. According to this submittal it does not appear that stormwater facilities will be required. Street Improvements: There are no frontage improvements required for this project as it has been presented to the city. If the intended project is changed this may trigger street improvements. Street Lighting: As required per the City of Yelm Development Guidelines when frontage improvements are required. ADA Requirements: The American Disabilities Act required that facilities are ADA accessible. Facility improvements will have to meet current code. Review of these improvements will be determined upon further review of the civil and architecture plans.
