Mattocks Church letter
July 1, 2003
Gene Widmer, Chief Appraiser
Thurston County Assessor’s Office
Building 1, Room 127
2000 Lakeridge Drive SW
Olympia, WA 98502
Dear Mr. Widmer:
This letter is regarding a proposed tax parcel combination at 204 Jefferson Street NW in Yelm. The tax parcels which the new property owner wishes to combine are:
75301400500
Lots 5 to 8, Block 14, Solberg’s First Addition to Yelm
75301400900
Lots 9 & 10, Block 14, Solberg’s First Addition to Yelm
75301401100
Lots 11 & 12, Block 14 Solberg’s First Addition to Yelm
According to the owner’s agent, the Assessor’s Office requires a legal lot determination from the City of Yelm before this combination can occur. Because there are buildings located
over some of the lot lines, a survey would be required before the City could make a full legal lot determination.
However, the City of Yelm has no objection to the combination of the above referenced tax parcel numbers by the Assessor’s Office. This recommendation is made based on the pre-submission
meeting the City held with the purchasers of the property. At the meeting, the purchasers were advised that the sale of any portion of the entire property could impact their ability
to fully utilize the remaining property as a church due to parking requirements.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the City’s position or about the allowed use of the property.
Sincerely,
Grant Beck, Director
Community Development Department
