Building Occupancy Classification: Currently the Senior Center as a quasi government entity has a B Occupancy. Your proposed uses would be and A-2 for the first floor, A-3 for the
second floor and R-1 for the third floor.
Building Type of Construction-VB
As a building under VB construction an R-1 Occupancy can be no higher then 2 floors and an A-3 can be no higher then the first floor.
Accessibility: For use of the upper floors they must be brought into compliance with the Americans with Disability Act.
Structural Improvements: A licensed Architect will need to verify the structural improvements required to remodel the building for your use. Areas also needing to be addressed are
the stairway and ramp to the second and third floors do no meet current code for rise.
