ORDINANCE NO. 712
AN ORDINANCE amending Chapter 2 of the Yelm Municipal Code, creating an Elected
Officials Reimbursement Policy for the City of Yelm, and declaring an effective date.
THE C[TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2 of the Yelm Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
2.04.10 Meetings -Date and time. The city council shall hold regular meetings on the second and
fourth Wednesdays of each month. Durine the month of November of each year, the
econd meetine of the month hall be held on the Tuesday directly nrecedine the fourth
Wednesday of the month. Regular meetings of the city council shall commence at the
hour of seven-thirty p.m. at Yelm City Hall, Yelm, Thurston County, Washington.
2.04.20 Reimbursement for expenses. The mayor and members of the city council shall be
reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the discharge of their official duties. ~

A. If private automobiles are used for travel to conduct official business. elected

approved for business travel.
B. Elected officials attending more than eight (81 meetings ner month shall be eligible
t receive a stipend of $35.00 per meeting commencin with the ninth meeting
ended during a calendar month
C. Elected officials shall be eligible for reimbursement of actual meal and lodging costs
not included in registration fee while attending conferences and trainine sessions. o__r
while representing the city in an official capacity.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect five days following the date of its
publication.
