ORDINANCE NO. 700
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Yelm amending Chapter 15.08 of the Municipal
Code, entitled Building Code by the addition of 1997 "Uniform Building Code"
appendixes covering the construction of agricultural buildings, reroofing
commercial and residential buildings, flood resistant construction and plan
review and grading permit fees.
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm adopted portions of the 1997 Edition "Uniform Building
Code" by reference in Ordinance No. 675 (11/99);
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Yelm Municipal Code Section 15.08.010 is hereby amended by addition of the
following underlined text.
"Uniform Building Code," Volume 1, 2 and 3 including_Ap~endix Chapter 3,
Division II: Chapter 15; Chapter 31, Division I; and Chapter 33; 1977 Edition
"Fire Resistance Design Manual," Fourteenth Edition dated April 1994 are
adopted by reference in its present form as if set forth in full herein.
Section 2. A copy of the "Uniform Building Code" has been filed with the City Clerk and is
available at Yelm City Hall for use and examination by the public.
Section 3. Severability Clause. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the
application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force five days following
publication.
