ORDINANCE NO. 543

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, the record owners of at least sixty percent of the value of the
property described below have petitioned for annexation to the City of Yelm,
WHEREAS, the City Council of Yelm has held a duly-noticed public hearing
regarding such annexation,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such annexation is in the best
interest of the City and conforms with annexation policies of the City as set
forth in the Comprehensive Plan and Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 2.66.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF YELM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described territory is hereby annexed and made
a part of the City of Yelm:
The South 668 feet of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 30, Township 17 North, Range 2 East, W.M., TOGETHER WITH that
part of the West 664 feet lying South of the North 533 feet of the
Northwest quarter of said Northwest quarter.
Also:
That part of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 30, lying Southwesterly of the centerline of the Yelm Irrlgation
Ditch, EXCEPT Lots 1,2,3 and 4 of Short Plan SS-1805 as recorded under
Auditor's File No. 8303230024 in Volume 18 of Short Plats, Pages 251-
255.
Also:
The West 1,730 feet of the South half of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 30, TOGETHER WITH that portion of roads known as 105th Avenue SE
and Mill Road SE lying in the South half of said Northwest quarter.
Also:
The South half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 25, Township 17 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
Also:
The East 528 feet of the North 165 feet of the Northeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter of said Section 25, TOGETHER WITH that portion of road
known as Mill Road SE in the North 165 feet of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 30.
Except that parcel as described as tax parcel #22730240800 and Lot 3 of
SS-1998 which is in the west of the SE quarter of the NW quarter
commencing at the northwest corner of the SW NW east 1,394 feet to point
of beginning, east 336 feet south 1,320 feet west 336 feet north 1320
feet less N 528 feet of Section 30, Township 17 North Range 2 East is
not included in this annexation.
Section 2. The above described territory 1S
Residential/Agricultural (R/A) 1-5.

Section 3. The Comprehensive Plan and Yelm Zoning Map be and are hereby
amended to incorporate the provisions of this Ordinance.

Section 4. Said property shall be subject to the existing indebtedness
of the City of Yelm and to pay said indebtedness shall be assessed and taxed
at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of
Yelm.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall record a copy of this Ordinance in the
Office of the County Auditor and file a certified copy with the Board of
County Commissioners.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall become effective on the 24th day of
January, 1995, being a date not less than five days following publication.
