Re: Morris Road Realignment - Letter of Understanding
Dear Mrs. Damitio,
The scope of this letter is to finalize the issues and' agreementEi
reached at our meeting - .regarding the right -o'f -way dedication to
the City for the construction of the new Morris Road Alignment.
The new alignrnent will require a dedication of apprQximately
2,164 square feet along the northerly boundary line of your
parcel, It is understood that the following items were discussed
and agreed to at our meeting:
. The City will re-align and construct Morris Road along a
portion of the northerly property line of your parcel as per
plans and specifications prepared by SCA Engineering. The cost of-
these improvements will be paid by the City.
. An 8" water line and fire hydrant will be installed at the
predetermined location as shown on the plans and specifications
referenced above. The cost of this improvement will be paid 'by
the City. Connection to City water will be available oqce this
improvement is completed. All cost associated with connection to
the City water system will be the property owners responsibility.
. The existing STEP sewer rnqin will be extended from the
present end of line clean-out app:roximately 120 lin feet along
the old Morris Road alignment as per the plans and
specifications Future sewer service will become avai1.able to
your property at the time the sewer se~vice boundary is expanded
al1d capacity is available at the wastewater treatment plant. Any
and all cost to connect to the City sewer system will be the
responsibili ty of the property owner ,.
. A new fen~e along the northerly boundary of your property
will be installed to replace the existing fence The cost of
this improvement will be paid by the City.

. The City will support your petition for annexation, and re-
zone to C-1 of Lot 3, Short i?lat#1184 into the corporate City
limits..
. ~he City of Yelm will prepare a Quit Claim Deed for your
sigl1ature and a right-of,-\'{ay dedication, exhibit for Lot 3 of
Short Plelt #1-184. The right-of,-way dedication will be recorded
with Thprston County. -

The ~cape af this letter is to confirm the ctty's pasitian in
workingtawards an equitable agreement. to. acquire the right-of~
way far the constructiop af th~ Morris Raad Realignment. The new
