Ministerial permits do not require public notice. 4.Vester Martin proposesto operate acomputer repair business from his home. 5.Chapter 18.65 YMC provides requirements and standards for home occupations. These include ·The home occupation shall not occupy more than 25 percent of the total floor area of the residence, or exceed 400square feet. ·Traffic generated by the home occupation shall not exceed 3 commercial vehicles per week, and all parking of customers’ vehicles shall be off-street. ·Storage of merchandise, material or equipment must be entirely within the residence or accessory building. ·Home occupation signs shall be wall mounted, and shall not exceed four square feet in area. The sign cannot be internally illuminated, but may be indirectly illuminated. C ONCLUSIONS OF L AW A.Section 18.12.080 YMC allows the Site Plan Review Committee to approve a home occupation when it complies with all applicable development, construction, and design standards of the Unified Development Code. B.Vester Martin hasestablished that the request for ministerialreview approval can satisfy all criteria set forth in Chapter 18.65YMC, meet all requirements of the MPCzoning classification, and meet all other requirements of the Yelm Municipal Code. Therefore, the home occupation permitshould be approved. C.Ahome occupation approval is effective upon approval. The home occupation permit maybe be revoked upon determination that there has been a violation of any conditions of approval or standards of the Unified Development code.
