Council Expansion: 05 Election & January 06 Office Shelly Badger
Agnes Bennick provided revised Adjustment/Changes from 10-19-04 Budget Work Session for review. Changes
included; increase to Patrol Officer with elimination of mobile unit, conference room furniture reduction from
$3,050 to $2,000, City Hall signage from $5,000 to $2,000 and correction to continued Chamber support to
$6,000.
Agnes asked for suggestions on how to make the Budget Work Sessions process easier. Ideas were discussed
including; using recap from agenda only, reducing number of meetings for hold the line budgets and signing
each individual's work book and keeping them at City Hall for future use.

Todd Stancil to follow up with the school superintendent to negotiate more funding from school for needed
DARE/Resource Officer benefiting both.
400 Stormwater- Recommended adding educational element to include information to public including; notice
that this is state mandated but unfunded and a bar graph provided comparing Yelm's new rates to other cities.
Admissions tax study session- invite business owners.
Nisqually River Education Project request for funding approved at $1,250 from $1,000.
December 22, 2004 City Council meeting cancellation dependent on progress of budget process.
