Civil Plan Review No. 2
Dear Mr. Dordal:
Thank you for your civil engineering plan submittal. I have reviewed the plans and have the following questions and comments. Please review these comments and address them on your
next submittal.
The soils test pit information is not in conformance with the DOE Stormwater manual. Refer to the section 3-3.6.5 of the stormwater manual for the requirements. Specifically there must
be one test pit for every fifty feet of trench length and in no case less than 2 soils logs for each proposed trench location. Currently there are no test pits in the location of the
infiltration trench. Each test pits must extend at least 3 feet below the trench elevation.
The elevations for the infiltration trench do not match on the plan view and the detail. Please revise the elevations.
The bottom of the gallery needs to be 3 feet above the winter ground water level. Your test pits are not deep enough to determine this level.
The parking lot lighting needs to be clarified on the plans. Please add the light manufacturer, pole type, pole height and light wattage.
The plans need to be spell checked before resubmitting back to the city.
