RE: Yelm City Hall Improvement Project
Dear Jim,
In completing the final closeout documents and the release of retainage for the City Hall
remodel project, it was noticed that a number of miscellaneous items have not yet been
submitted to the City. While these items may seem minor to you, they are important to
the City so that proper warranties can be upheld.
It would be greatly appreciated if you would submit the following items as originally
agreed to via the bid specifications:
1) One gallon of sealed paint for each color used
2) Warranty for the rollup door (two yr. from completion)
3) Warranty for the wood doors (lifetime)
4) Warranty for the hardware (one year for hardware, ten years for the closures and two
years for electric)
5) Warranty for windows (five year)
6) Warranty for carpet (fifteen year)
7) Carpet and the samples
Without the submittal of this paperwork the City feels that the overall quality of the
project is compromised due to the fact that warranties will not be valid. I am sure this is
not your intent and we would be willing to work with you as necessary to get all this
paperwork submitted.
In closing, the City is overall pleased with the outcome of the project and would like to
consider this final bit of information a considerate and essential piece to referencing a
qualityjob.
