Tnis Section specifies administrative and procedual requirements of Bid Alternates. 1.02 BID ALTERNATES A. Definition: a Bid Alternate is an additive or deductive amount proposed by bidders and stated on the Bid Proposal form for a specific component(s) of the work or for specific products, materials, equipment, systems or installation methods described in contract Documents that may be added to or deducted from the Base Bid amount at the discretion of the owner. B. Coordination: coordinate related Work and modify or adjust adjacent work as necessary to ensure that Work affected by each selected Bid Alternate is complete and fully integrated into the project. C. Notification: Immediately following the award of the contract, prepare and distribute to each party involved; notification of the status of each Bid Alternate.
