Call to Order. Mayor Harding called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call. Present: Don Miller, Joe Baker, Bob Isom, Mike McGowan, Pat
Fetterly, John Thompson and Russ Hendrickson
3. Agenda Approval
07-7 MOTION BY PAT FETTERLY APPROVING THE AGENDA AS
PRESENTED. CARRIED.
4. Special Presentations -Norm LeMay, LeMay Inc., and Scott Penner, Pacific
Disposal provided information on the single container recycling program that
will begin in the spring. The wheeled containers have a capacity equal to that
of 5 - 32 gallon cans and include recycling program details on the lids.
Containers should be delivered to customers by the end of April.
The new container will be the receptacle for mixed recyclable materials
including: paper, plastic bottles (no caps), cardboard, and cans. All items,
except glass, which needs to go into a separate container, will be combined in
the container for monthly pickup service.
Additional program expansion planned includes adding amulti-family recycling
program and eventually a curbside yard waste program.

Councilmember Baker attended a Yelm Adult Community Center meeting.

Councilmember Isom will report in February on an upcoming meeting with
Representative Tom Campbell.
Councilmember McGowan provided information about a planned county-
wide homeless census.
Councilmember Fetterly attended Yelm Emergency Operations Board and
Fire District meetings.
Councilmember Thompson attended a (TRPC) Transportation Policy Board
meeting.
Councilmember Hendrickson attended a Fire District meeting.
b. Mayor's Report
Mayor Harding attended the Elected Officials' Retreat, and has been spending
time at the Capitol working on legislative issues of importance to Yelm.
Debriefing from the Emergency Operations meeting showed the need for an
additional generator.

12. Correspondence reviewed included the AWC Legislative Action Conference
on February 14 and 15.
