AN ORDINANCE relating to annexation of certain
contiguous property to the town of YeLn, Washington,
amending and correcting Ordinance i~o. 153, and
making the Ordinance effective immediately upon
passage.
1niHEREAS, heretofore on October 10, 1973, the Council of the Town of Yelm
I ad~p~ed Ordinanoe No. 153, annexi.ng certain contiguous property to the Town of
Yelm; and
WHEREAS, throu~h a scrivener's error, a section of said Ordinance was in-
advertently omitted therefrom,
BE IT, AND IT IS HEREt3Y ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YELM, AS
FOLLaWS:
Section 1. Ordinance I3o. 153 of the Town of Yelm, heretofore adopted
by the Council of the Town of Yelm on October 10, 1973, be, and the same is
hereby amended by addition of the following section thereto:
"Section 10. 'That the following portion of the above-
described real property hereby annexed to the Town of Yelm be~ and
the same is hereb~ zoned RA-Resa.aential Agriculture, to wit.
Th.at partion of Sectian 19~ Township 1? North,
Range 2 East~ W.M« within the ~own of Yelm
boundary,more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline
of Crystal Springs Road with Yelm Creek; thence
northwest along the center line of said creek to
its intersection with the north line of the south
one-half of the southwest one-quarter of the
southwest one-quarter of Section 18, Township 17
North, Range 2 East; thence east along said north
extended to the t~esterly right-of way line of
Rhoton Road; thence southerly along the westerly
right-of-way line to its intersectian with the aouth
Iine of the north one-quarter o~ the northeast one-
quarter of the northwest one-quarter of 5ection 19,
Ta~nship 17 North, ~ange 2 East; thence west along
the said south iine to the centerline of Crystal Springs
Road; thence sauth along the centerline of Crystal
Springs Road to the point of beginning.
That the following gortion of the above-described real property hereby
annexed to the Town of Yelm, bei and the same is hereby zoned Industrial to ~tit:
That Portion of Section 19, Township 17 North,
Range 2 East, W.M. within the Town of Yelm
boundary more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the easterly right-of way line of
Crygtal Spri.ngs Road and the south line of the north
one half of the southeast one-quarter of the north-
west one-qua.rter of Section 19, ~ownship 17 North, ,
' Range 2 East; thence north along the easterly right-
! of way line of Crystal Springs Road to the south line
of the north oris-quarter of the northeast one-quarter
of the northwest one-quarter of Section 19i Township
17 North, Range 2 East; thence east along said south
line to the West right-of way line of Rhoton Road to
the south line of the north one-half of the southeast
one-quarter of the northwest one-quarter of Section 19,
~ Township 17 North, Range 2 Ea.st; thence west along
said south line to the point of beginning."
Section 2. This Ordinance is necessary for the immediate Qreservation of
the public health, welfare and safety of the Town of Yelm, Washington, and its
existing public institutions and shall take effect immediately upon its passage

ORDINANCE ~VO. 162
AN QRDINANCE of the Town of Y elm, Washington, providing
for the submission to the Qualified electors of the
town at a special election to be held therein on
July 9, 197~t, of the proposition of whether or not
the town should issue its general obligation bonds
in the principal sum of $18~000 for the purpose of
providing funds necessary to construct and equip a
new town hall.
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary for the benefit and welfare of the j
inhabitants of the Town of Yelm that the town construct and equip a new town -
hall on a site now owned by the town; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide funds to pay part or all of the cost ~hereof,
it is deemed necessary and advisable that the town issue its general obligation
bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $18,000; and
WHEREAS, the Constitution and laws of the State of Washington provide that
the question of whether or not such general obligation bonds may be issued for
such purposes must be submitted to the qualified electors of the town fbr their
ratification or rejection;
NQW, THEREF~RE, the Town Council of the Town of Yelm Does Ordain: ~
Section 1. It is hereby found and declared that the public benefit and
welfare require the town to carry out the plan hereinafter provided.
Section 2. The town shall construct and equip a new town hall on a site
now owned by the town, consisting of a one story brick building, including
administrative offices, library, and a multi-purpose room suitable for use as
a court room, council chambers and meeting hall, together with other necessary
facilities, all as found necessary by the town council.
Section 3. To provide funds necessary to pay part of the cost of the ;
improvements set forth in Section 2 hereof the town shall issue its general ! I
obligation bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $18~000. -
Said bonds shall bear interest at a rate of not to exceed 8~ per annum and
shall mature serially and in such amounts and at such ti.mes within ten years
from date of issue as authorized by law. Both Principal of and interest on such
bonds shall be payable out of annual tax levies to be made upon all of the
taxable property within the town without limitation as to rate or amount. The
e~act date~ form, terms and maturities of said bonds shall be as hereafter
fixed by ordinance of the Town of Yelm.
Section 4. It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists
requiring the submission to the qualified electors of the town of the pro-
position of whether or not it should issue said bonds for such purpose at
a special election to be held therein on July 9, 1974•
