871 Shortline Railroad Fund CITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 871
AN ORDINANCE amending the City of Yelm 2007 Budget as adopted by
Ordinance No. 864 (12/06), by increasing the Shortline Railroad Fund budget
appropriation and decreasing the Cumulative Reserve and declaring an effective
date.
WHEREAS, the Shortline Railroad Fund needs additional appropriations to build a trestle
safety barrier; and
WHEREAS, the appropriation for Shortline Railroad expenses is expected to exceed the
current years budgeted amount;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as follows:
Section 1. The Shortline Railroad 2007 Annual Budget Appropriation shall be amended by
increasing the appropriation in the amount of $58,000.

Section 2. To maintain a balanced budget, the Cumulative Reserve Urban Development
Appropriation is transferred to Shortline Railroad in the amount of $58,000.

Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after passage,
approval, and publication.
Section 4. Ratify and Confirmation Clause. Any action taken pursuant to this ordinance but
prior to the effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.
