631 Youth Protection CITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 631
AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. 440 (1992) and Ordinance No. 406
(1991) and Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 9.88 and establishing an effective
date.
WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council believes that every citizen has a role in the protection
of the youth in our community; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 440 and 406 provided a curfew for minors for the public
health, safety, and general welfare of the community and our children; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter 13.32A RCW establishes the Family Reconciliation Act to provide
guidelines for the protection of our children; and,
WHEREAS, the Act recognizes the need for services and assistance for parents and
children who are in conflict; and,
WHEREAS, the Act provides measures for the protection of children who, through their
behavior, are endangering themselves;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm, Washington does ordain:
Section 1. City of Yelm Ordinance No. 406 (1991) and 440 (1992) are hereby repealed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective five days following adoption and
publication as prescribed by law.
