TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2008 MINUTES
1. Call to Order -Mayor Harding called the Meeting to Order at 7:30 pm.
2. Roll Call -Present: Don Miller, Joe Baker, Bob Isom, Mike McGowan, Pat
Fetterly, John Thompson and Russ Hendrickson.
3. Agenda Approval
8-15 MOTION BY JOE BAKER APPROVING THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED.
CARRIED.
4. YELM FFA WEEK PROCLAMATION.
Mayor Harding read the Proclamation declaring February 11-15, 2008 as Yelm
FFA Week and encouraged citizens to recognize and support the success of the
Yelm FFA. There were no members in attendance to accept the Proclamation.
5. Public Comment- There was no public response to the call for comment.
6. Consent Agenda

8-16 MOTION BY PAT FETTERLY APPROVING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS AS
PRESENTED. CARRIED.

8. New Business
a. Resolution No. 481 Affirming the Yetm Hearing Examiner's Approval of
Preliminary Subdivisions: WindShadow I and II, Wyndstone, Berry Valley I and
Tahoma Terra Phase I; Divisions 5&6. Grant Beck reviewed the Resolution
prepared following the action taken by Council to affirm the decision by the
Yelm Hearing Examiner.
08-17 MOTION BY BOB ISOM APPROVING RESOLUTION NO. 481 AFFIRMING
THE YELM HEARING EXAMINER'S APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY
SUBDIVISIONS AND BINDING SITE PLANS FOR WINDSHADOW I,
WINDSHADOW II, WYNDSTONE, BERRY VALLEY I AND TAHOMA TERRA
PHASE II, DIVISION 5 AND 6. CARRIED.

Councilmember Miller attended Fire Commission Meeting and State of the City
Address.

Councilmember Baker complimented the Mayor on the State of the City
presentation. He reported from the Intercity Transit meeting that the covered
stop has been installed at the WalMart. They continue to work on a Park and
Ride at the same location.
Councilmember Isom reported on the Thurston Regional Planning Council
elections: Ed Stanley, President, Dennis McVey, Vice President and Kathy
Wolfe, Secretary.
Councilmember McGowan attended the HOME Consortium meeting.
Councilmember Fetterly attended an informative Emergency Operations Board
meeting.
Mayor Harding attended the Mayor's Forum and Thurston County Economic
Development Council meeting. He attended the Emergency Operations Board
meeting and reported working with Home Owners Associations and vulnerable
citizens. He also presented the State of the City Address to the public at the
Moose Lodge.

12. Correspondence provided for review included local information updates for
Yelm Community Schools and Comcast channel lineup, AWC City Officials call
to service and summary of the Puget Sound Partnership's Ecosystem
Coordinating Board Meeting, and the Port of Olympia and Port of Tacoma Joint
Study Session on South sound Logistics Center meeting announcement
