Re: Landscape change request for Yelm High School
The Community Development Department has reviewed your request not to plant trees around the south and west perimeter of the High School.
Perimeter landscaping is a condition of your site plan review approval. This was shown on the landscape plan that you submitted, and that was reviewed and approved over two years ago.
Based on the topography adjacent to the drive lane entering the site at 93rd Avenue, a fence of solid material may be constructed in lieu of planting trees along the drive lane to the
point where the drive lane turns eastward into the site. The rest of the perimeter is required to be planted with trees and ground cover, to meet the City of Yelm Type II landscape
requirements.
Sincerely,
Tami Merriman
