Engineering Review As-Builts No. 1 Yelm Plaza City of Yelm Community Development Department 105 Yelm Avenue West P.O. Box 479 Yelm, WA 98597 November 6, 2008 Mr. Chris M. Merritt, P.E. Olympic Engineering 300 Deschutes Way S.W. Suite 315 Tumwater, WA 98501 Re: Yelm Plaza – As-Built Construction Documents Review No.1, Planning, Water and Sewer Corrections and Comments City of Yelm Project Number - SUB-05-0581-YL The following need to be corrected on the Yelm Plaza construction plans. Water and Sewer comments are as follows: Water: The 5/8 X 3/4 water meters have NOT been paid for, or installed for building B & C. The Reduced Pressure Backflow Assemblies are NOT installed or tested for building B &C.  The developer is responsible for the cost of the fire hydrant locks and the City of Yelm Water Department will order and install them. The project will not be final until the City of Yelm has received the payment in full for the fire hydrant locks. The fire hydrants in commercial projects are to cover 150 feet coverage. Is this project covered for fire hydrant protection? Need to have a Reduced Pressure Backflow Assembly behind the Domestic water meter. And need to have a Double Check Valve Assembly behind the Irrigation meter.
