Dear Ms. Merriman,
1 am writing to share my comments about [he proposed 4 plexes across the street from my home.
1 purchased my home here on Crystal Springs Street ten years ago. One of the main factors [ha[
influenced my decision to buy here was [he chameter of this neighborhood. It was not a
neighborhood of multi-plexes, but a neighborhood of single family homes. Everyone
immediately surrounding my place takes good care of their property and has pride in their places.
I have seen a steady increase in my property value since purchasing this home.
I do understand why Mr. McCammant would like [o develop his properly in the way [ha[ has
been proposed. I also know [hat change and growth are inevitable, and I don'[ begrudge anyone
[he chance [o try [o make some money. 1 am however strongly opposed [o having a single family
home replaced by two 4 plexes!
When 1 looked at the conceptual site plan, my heart sank. I[ appears [o me that if these 4 plexes
go iq I'm going [o have what looks like a cheap motel across the street from me. It has been my
ezperience that multi plexes lypicully tend to attract tenants who are semi-transient and don't
connect with their neighborhood or community, or take much pride in their dwellings.
1 am wortied about [he negative impact to my properly value if [he planned development is
approved. Please do not approve this proposal!
