If I remember correctly, you were on vacation when I drooped them, but I not sure if it was this project or another, but I know they were returned. As for the FDC, here is the NFPA language. 6.7.4.1 At least one fire department connection shall be provided for buildings, accessible by a fire department, that exceed 2000 ft2 (186 m2) or are more than a single story. 6.7.4.2 Fire department connections shall be at least 1½ in. (38 mm). When I review sprinkler plans I review the calcs back to the water source, I don’t remember in this case what the configuration was, but I can review the civils if you need, but I will need a copy of the sprinkler plans if you can find them. I may need you to review the plan from the service to the building if that has not been done yet. The civil’s intent is to tap a 2” line for the protection and then reduce it to 1-1/2” before a 1-1/2” meter. He shows no valves, or cross connection. The line is metered separately from the domestic. I have an old copy of NFPA 13-R that does not show an FDC. Let me know if that is required because none is shown now.
