The reason for this is the realization and confirmation that what we do to the environment actually effects us. The most recent example is global warming resulting in no snow or ice at the North Pole this summer. An unthinkable possibility just a year ago. Having the EIS now after the development has the stamp of approval and is a fore gone conclusion seems to be very inappropriate. To put on the cover statement that the EIS regardless will not deter the development cries for an explanation, why even call for public input at this stage at all! We all know that potable water is a major concern, because the mathematics is still uncertain. Perhaps it's time to truly look at the bigger picture beyond "progress" because the decision on this development will impact you and all of us. Please take responsibility for your position; make a difference, make history.
