A preliminary plat is a request to subtlivitle proPerry into fve or more lots for the purpose of resitlential,
commercial, or intlustdal tlevelopment. A preliminary plat is reviewed by the Ciry's staff, Headng
Examiner and City COUndlfor wnfonnance with City subtlivision sfandaMS and other regulations. The
Headng Ezaminer will hold a public headng after notifying neighbors antl other agendas. The plat
cannot be approved unless appropriate provisions have been matle for public facilities, such as roatls,
sewer antl water. Preliminary review will usually take about 90 days. If preliminary approval is
granted, a foal surveyed plat must be presented within five ($) years with appropriate arrangements for
all improvements.
