Dear Mr. Walter
On August 31, 2001 your contractor removed asphalt to install a sewer connection for the above referenced project. When this was performed the contractor requested to backfill the ditch
and not use temporary asphalt patching until the following week when the reuse water service was to be installed. At this time both ditches would be finished with cold patch asphalt.
When the approval was granted it was agreed that the crossing would be maintained so as to not create a rough surface. The crossing has not been maintained to date. On Wednesday morning
I requested to John, that the crossing be patched as required by City of Yelm Guidelines. John said he would call the contractor. On Thursday I followed up on this request and John’s
response was he did not think he could schedule it. I reaffirmed that the repair needed to be completed on Thursday. If the repairs are not completed by Friday at 4:00 pm the City
of Yelm will repair the roadway crossing and bill you for the time and expenses of that repair.
