Dear Mr. Hom:
The Community Development Department received your revised landscape plans and
provide the following comments.
In September 2005, this subdivision was presented to the City of Yelm Hearing
Examiner for approval. At the hearing, you testified, and the plans submitted showed,
that you would be creating a walking trail around the perimeter of the subdivision with
exercise stations, a recreation center with pool, multi-purpose room and kitchen as well
as edible plants in the landscaped areas for the enjoyment of the residents. Your
statements can be found in the Hearing Examiner report, as well as the Hearing
Examiners findings to support his approval of the plat.
During the Civil plan review, you requested to construct the recreational building later in
the plat construction, to which the City agreed.
Now, you are proposing to not construct a portion of the open space that was a part of
the original subdivision approval.
The Community Development Department will approve the loss of the walking paths,
with the provision that the recreational center be completed prior to final plat.
Sincerely,
