05-0458 Pump Skid Approval City of Yelm Community Development Department 105 Yelm Avenue West P.O. Box 479 Yelm, WA 98597 July 23, 2008 Clint Pierpoint KPFF Consulting Engineers 4200 Sixth Avenue SE Lacey, WA 98503 Dear Clint: Attached please find the signed construction plans for the Forrester Heights booster pump station. The plans are approved for construction of the skid with the following conditions: 1. The City would prefer that the system be controlled through an Allen-Bradley control panel in order to maintain consistency throughout the City. Please contact Grund-Fos, the skid manufacturer, to determine if they can provide an Allen-Bradley controller as part of their package booster station. 2. Regardless of the control panel provided by the skid manufacturer, a detailed control and instrumentation plan and control logic must be provided prior to City acceptance of the station. Please see comment 21 from the Parametrix letter dated March 26, 2008, a copy of which is attached for your records. Specifically, the latest submission of the control logic plans do not address the operation of the smaller pump in the skid or the default action in case of a failure of the variable frequency drives. If you have any questions regarding this approval, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (360) 458-8408. Sincerely, Grant Beck, Director Community Development Department
