Diggins Porch
The permit for the porch is approved under the following conditions:
1) Landing to be width of door and three feet in the direction of travel.
2) A protective barrier to be installed between the concrete and all untreated
wood. A 2" gap to be maintained between siding and concrete.
3) Porch to be sloped 2% away from door. All wood not weather or splash
protected to be treated.
4) 1-1 /2" maximum height between top of threshold and landing.
5) Rise of stair to be 7-3/4" with a run of 10"
6) Landing at bottom of stairs to comply with #1
7) Handrails between 34" & 38" required on one side
8) Guard rails 36" high for landing over 30'" required. Guards to be spaced so a
4" ball cannot pass through them.
9) Stair well to be lighted at top landing by artificial light.
10) Stair may intrude five feet into required 15' front yard setback.
