RE: Forbest Retail Building Civil Engineering Review No. 3
City of Yelm Project SPR-03-8342-YL
Dear Mr. Hatton:
I have reviewed the civil engineering plans. The following are comments from the above referenced plans and need to be addressed on the future submittal. I have organized these comments
by utility type.
Sewer System:
At Sta 2+54.00 the sewer call out should have a 4”x3” reducer, 3” gate valve and end of line cleanout. See redlines for clarification.
Grading and Stormwater:
The wet tanks access does not meet the required spacing. The accesses can be no more that 100’ apart. Each access can service 50’ each way from the access. To meet this requirement
additional accesses can be added or the connection pipes from the type 2 catchbasins increased to 36” diameter. The west wet tank does not meet this requirement.
The east leg of the wet tank system does not appear to have an inlet at the north end. Please add an inlet at the north end or install 2 cross pipes between the wet tanks. Currently
the east wet tank flow path is being short-circuited and will not provide adequate treatment.
Please review and revise your engineering drawings. Following your revisions please fax me your changes so I can review them. After the review I will request a mylar submittal. If
you have any questions or comments, please call me at (360) 458-8438 and I will be happy to further assist you.
Respectfully
