Steve
Thanks for you input on these questions, just a couple other
questions/comments below.
Scott L Ritter
Questions;
Sewer Departments:
#17 regarding the Pump controls Panel...There is no garage to install
the unit on and the remote pole meant that the city would again be
responsible for the power monthly. The owners of the home (us) do not
have any problem with the current location on the house. I would
respectfully request that it stay where it has been located.
Response: The City of Yelm Sewer Department did not approve the
location of the control panel to be placed on the side of the house, due
to functional reasons that these control panels are not placed on the
dwelling. This location is not per City of Yelm Standards. There is no
meter on this control panel it is wired from the dwellings power source.
The control panel can be relocated to a remote pole by extending the
conduit and electrical to meet the City of Yelm requirements per C.O. Y.
Detail 7-4. This must also be accessible to maintenance and service
crews.
[Scott L Ritter]
Detail 7-4 is this detail on the web? I looked but could not locate.
Planning Comments;
#22 Portion of missing fence missing. Please clarify where? If you are
referring to around the pole PSE required us to leave that clearance
from the pole.
Response: The fence will need to be continuous with out breaks. If the
clearance is an issue for the power pole, than you will need fence
around the power pole maintaining the PSE clearance limits or have the
pole relocated.
[Scott L Ritter]
We will check with PSE for clearances and add to fence accordingly.
#26 Vinyl Fence; Page 7 of the Engineered Civil Drawings calls for a
fence with the gates etc but does not specify vinyl. Please direct me
when it defines this. I contacted Morrissette assoc today for
calcifications on this item prior to receiving the punch list and they
were going to get county specifications on this for me
Response: The plans call for a fence to be constructed around the storm
pond. It is the City of Yelm policy for the fence to be constructed of
vinyl coated chain link fencing. Please construct the fence around the
pond accordingly.
[Scott L Ritter]
Answered this morning, thank you.
Engineering Comments;
#37 Handicap ramps; As far as I know at this point, these were
installed per drawings. Can I get some indication of where this is not
installed per the plans, Or not to city standards.
Response: Please refer to Sidewalk Ramp Type 4B Detail located on sheet
17 of 18 on your plan set. The Sidewalk Ramp Type 4B Detail clearly
shows the cement concrete pedestrian curbs and dimensions for this type
of ramp. Your concrete foreman was instructed to construct it to that
detail. Just like the ramp on the Cullens Road frontages, for some
reason the concrete crew eliminated these pedestrian curbs on the two
ramps in question, located at the intersection of Trump Ave. and Stella
Ct. You may want to consult your Design Engineer for the best way to
correct this and bring it up to ADA requirements.
