RE: Painting of your Building Exterior
The City of Yelm has noted the recent painting on your building’s exterior. We pride ourselves on working with local businesses in hopes of promoting growth and cooperation between City
of Yelm and its business owners.
I unfortunately have to inform you that the color chosen for your business exterior doesn’t comply with our current Yelm Municipal Code for buildings in the Central Business District.
18.35.040 Standards specific to the CBD district.
N. Building Design. Building shell colors shall be earth tones such as taupe, brown, red-brown, buff, gray, cream, white, natural wood, brick, or stone. Trim should be white, black,
dark blue, dark green, dark teal, dark red, or other deep saturated colors. Bright accent colors should not cover more than 10 percent of any building facade.
