Dear Mr. Sutherland:
On September 13, 2018, you contacted the Community Development Department regarding the property located at 108 Washington Ct SE. You stated that a tenant was preparing to move in to
the residence and requested a final inspection on the renovations that had been performed.
The city Building Official Chris Vaccaro and Residential Building Inspector John Rowland understanding the urgency performed an immediate inspection on the property.
A corrections checklist for items not up to code was given to your contractor and efforts were made to correct these items immediately. The city was informed via a telephone conversation
with Austin Sutherland that the tenants would not move into the dwelling until Friday September 14th, after all correction had been made and the final inspection checklist was signed
off by the City of Yelm.
At 8:00AM on the morning of Friday September 14, 2018, I arrived at the residence to re-inspect the premises and found that the tenants had in fact moved into the residence the night
prior. This is in violation of the 2015 International Residential Code Section 110.1, which could result in the issuance of a Do Not Occupy order.
In order to prevent further action by the City, inspection and approval for completed items on the corrections checklist must be achieved no later than 5PM Thursday, September 20, 2018.
