RE: Grading and Stockpiling Material On-site
Yelm Community Center Expansion
City of Yelm Project No. SPR-02-8320-YL
Dear Mr. Ness:
This letter is responding to the questions regarding grading, storage and stockpiling material on-site. During the review of the architectural plans, civil engineering plans and the
SEPA check list, the documents show a limited amount of material stockpile area. The 42’x80’ area shown on the civil engineering plans will not accommodate 3,000 cubic yards of cut
and was not intended too during our review. This area is also tasked with other needs. At this time, you will be required to dispose of the material off-site. If it is your intent
to stockpile it on-site, the project owner will have to resubmit an additional SEPA checklist. The threshold for environment review is any import or export of material greater than
150 cubic yards. The original SEPA checklist and review did not include a stockpile or storage of approx. 3,000 cubic feet of material. This process will take 4-5 weeks to be approved.
Unless the Community Development Department is notified in writing of the intent to submit the required information for SEPA approval then it is expected that the material will be removed
from the site.
If you have any questions or concerns please call me at (360) 458-8438.
Respectfully
City of Yelm Community Development
