RE: Lasco Bathware Loading Dock – Civil Review No. 2
COY Project No. SPR-01-8290-YL
Dear Mr. Connolly:
I have reviewed the civil engineering plans dated 11/27/01 (Date of PE stamp) and have the following questions or comments. Please review these comments and address them when you submit
your mylars for approval.
The 8” pipe connecting the trench drain to the oil-water separator needs to be ductile iron. The cover over the pipe in the loading dock in 1.92”.
The above referenced pipe will also need to have a sleeve in the retaining wall where it passed through the wall.
The elevation on the oil-water separator outflow in higher than the inflow inlet. Typically they are even or the outflow is lower. Please verify this condition.
Section A-A Infiltration Trench needs to have 6” of washed rock above the pipe in the trench. Please revise this detail.
The approval block should have Development Review Engineer instead of Director of Public Works. Typical all sheets.
If there are any questions or concerns about these comments, feel free to call me at (360) 458-8438 and we can discuss them before the mylars are submitted. You need to submit 2 sets
of mylars, 2 drainage reports and 1 reduced set of plans. The reduced set should be 11X17 and to scale. Also submit the AutoCAD files and the drainage report on a CD for the City’s
archives. After signing the mylars one set will be returned to you and your client for your use.
The client pulled a clearing and grading permit on Monday January 7, 2002. This permit will only allow them to excavate for the loading dock. However they still need to submit a building
package to the building department. This will include all needed information for the Building Department to issue a building permit.
Respectfully
