Dear Mr. Chamberlain:
This morning the Community Development Department was faced with another rash of complaints from area residents regarding construction practices at Yelm Terra. As you know, City staff
have been working closely with both your firm and the neighbors to attempt to find common ground to allow the project to proceed as fast as possible.
I regret, therefore, that these efforts have failed and the simple measures to control impacts specified in Jim Gibson’s letter dated July 22, 2004, are not being followed outside of
normal City business hours. Due to these continuing issues the following additional measures shall be taken by Yelm Terra:
Hours of operation for construction are hereby limited to 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. There will be no further operation on weekends.
A sign, no smaller than 4 feet by 8 feet in size, shall be posted on site with the contact name and 24 hour phone number of the person at Yelm Terra responsible for ensuring that the
project is in compliance with all required mitigation measures.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact the Community Development Department at 458-3835.
Sincerely,
Grant Beck, Director
Department of Community Development
