8353 Punchlist to Steve 101104 City of Yelm Community Development Department 105 Yelm Avenue West P.O. Box 479 Yelm, WA 98597 October 11, 2004 Steve Chamberlain SCA Design Group 4200 6th Ave SE Suite 301 Lacey, Washington 98503 RE: Yelm Terra Construction Punch list City of Yelm Project No. SUB-03-8353-YL Dear Steve: This letter is to document where we are in the process of inspections of the construction of Yelm Terra. The following is a punch list of items that is currently under construction or not complete as of this morning. This is a copy of the email I sent on 9/23/04: 1. The slope of the ditch is too steep. It may have been ok before the paving however it needs less slope now. 2. The signage needs to be installed on 105th. And reinstall the signage that was there before construction. 3. 15805 105th there appears to be some dirt on the south side of the ditch line that needs to be removed. Do not remove the Oregon grape bushes that were planted there before this project started. 4. Remove the misc. rocks etc from between Mrs. Cloran's drive way and Dr. Hunters driveway. This was the area that you were using the loader to turn around in before you were asked not too. It is private property. 5. 105th needs to be striped. (centerline and both fog lines) 6. At the west end of 105th, a cable was pulled down off of the utility poles during the construction. It is now located in the bushes. This needs to be repaired. 7. Same location as No. 6, you placed fill and brush from the trimming of the trees on a private property. This needs to be removed. 8. West end of 105th needs to have some fill added. We can not have the sidewalk, roadway and curb stopping in mid air. Slope needs to be min 3:1. Also a type 3 barricade needs to be installed in this location instead of the orange barrier fence. 9. The removed asphalt needs to be picked up along 105th. 10. Portions of the curbing need to be replaced. I have painted the curb in purple. Also I have painted cracks. The curbing will need to be removed up to the nearest expansion joints. 11. The area where you excavated a ditch for the installation of the streetlight removed and topsoil placed so the area can be hydro seeded. The hydro seeding can be accomplished when the landscapers are on site. 12. The area behind the curbing on the north side of the intersection at 105/Clark needs to be cleaned up. Remove the trash, concrete and stakes etc. Add some top soil behind the curb to fill in the void behind the curb. Please do not add so much that it is going to erode into the curb line on the first rain. I did not list the items that have not been installed yet. Sidewalk, fence, landscaping, irrigation, road closed signage, street lights etc. I will be inspecting the onsite improvements after they have been completed. Some of these descriptions and locations are a little vague. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call. Copy of email sent on 10/07/04 for second sewer inspection: 1. The 2" end of line gate valve is broken. This is located at approx. Sta. 56+00.00. The 2" nut on top of the valve is not connected to the valve. It just turns on top of the stem. Take a look at it but do not dig up the street until you talk to me first. 2. The blow offs need to be raised to bottom of valve box lids. 3. The end of line clean outs on 105th need concrete pad poured around them. 4. Blow offs need cap with square nut accessible with adjustable pliers. Please contact Randy for exact specification. As of morning inspection today: Has the site distance been verified at Clark Road/105th as required by the land use approval? Portions of the sidewalks and ADA ramps have not been completed. The utility valves in 105th need to be reset. The valves are raised too high in the roadway. The irrigation system is not completed and tested. The streetlights have not been installed. The fence needs to be completed. Survey monuments need to be set in the centerline of the roadways The guy wires along 105th need to be relocated to complete the sidewalk. I have marked up about ½ of the plat for broken curbing. I have stopped marking up the curbs until the equipment, concrete trucks and gravel trucks stop driving over the curbing where every they need too. When they are driving over the curbs they increase the chances of breaking the curbing in another location. The sidewalk and ADA ramps on 3rd St are not completed. The restoration along 3rd St not completed. See needs to be sodded or hydroseeded. The stripping or 3rd St and Mossman is not completed. The county will not be stripping roadways this year in Yelm. The payment for chip sealing 3rd St and Mossman has not been received. The signage has not been installed. I wanted to sent this too you so you would have a up to date list of what comments have been sent out as of today. I hope this helps you in completing the improvements of the subdivision before final plat recording.
