RE: Wal-Mart - SPR-05-0091-YL
Initial Review of Asbuilt Construction Documents
Mr. Munich:
The City of Yelm has completed the initial review of the asbuilts for the Wal-Mart in Yelm. Your application included:
Onsite Construction Documents
Offsite Construction Documents
We have reviewed the plans for compliance with the City of Yelm Development Guidelines, the DOE Stormwater Manual and general standards of civil engineering practice. The following
comments need to be addressed before the plans may be approved for construction. Our comments are summarized below:
WATER COMMENTS:
1. At station 235+20.5, the print is showing three gate valves. The North gate valve is not there and was not installed.
SEWER COMMENTS:
The Air Release Assembly shown at Sta. 67+85 was deleted during construction.
The “End of Line Clean Out” shown at sta. 67+94 is not shown correctly.
A 2” service line (no gate valves) is shown incorrectly at Sta. 67+32.
At Sta. 57+70 on Yelm Ave, the drawing shows steel casing, C900 pipe was used. The plan also shows No Open Cuts. An open cut was used and backfilled with CDF.
The 22.5 degree bend at Sta. 52+70 was changed to 11.5 degrees. This needs to be changed on the asbuilt.
The gate valve installed at Sta. 52+65 was moved to the other side of the 45 and 11.5 degree bend in the main line.
The Yelm Ave mainline crossing at Sta. 177+00 is shown incorrectly. The pipe was sleeved with C-900 and backfilled with CDF.
At Sta. 168+25, 2, 6” gate valves, a 6” “T” and a 6” future capped ‘stub out’ was installed. This is not shown correctly.
ENGINEERING COMMENTS:
Sheet C-1.0 sheet 2 of 13 Note (AN) the fence is not painted with vinyl paint.
Detail sheets C-8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 9.0, 9.1 these sheets are not attached in the asbuilts and will need to be submitted with the final sets
Sheet UT-1.01 this sheet has callouts for utilities, that indentify each utility except for drainage.
Please review and revise the plans to address the above referenced comments. When the project is resubmitted you will need to submit 4 sets of plans, 2 stormwater reports. The project
engineer should include a written response with the resubmittal, indicating how all the review comments above have been addressed or responded to. This will significantly expedite our
review of the project. If you have any additional questions or comments please do not hesitate to call or contact me at jimg@ci.yelm.wa.us.
