Comment response City of Yelm Community Development Department 105 Yelm Avenue West P.O. Box 479 Yelm, WA 98597 January 12, 2007 Thomas W. Tharge TLC Outlet Express, Inc. P.O. Box 1146 Yelm, WA 98597 RE: Stevens Street Extension DNS Dear Mr. Tharge: Thank you for your comments on the DNS issued for the Stevens Street Extension. The Community Development Department has reviewed the issues raised in your letter and do not believe they warrant the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement and primarily relate to project design and construction. Accordingly, the DNS will not be withdrawn and the appeal period will not be extended. Your concerns have been forwarded to the Public Works Department for consideration during formal design and construction. The City of Yelm will be hosting a public open house on January 25, 2007. City staff and consulting engineers will be in attendance to address your concerns personally. This is the information that Stephanie Ray discussed with your business partner. If you would like to appeal the issuance of the DNS, you may find the appeal form on the City of Yelm website at www.ci.yelm.wa.us, or you may come into City Hall to pick one up. Sincerely, Tami Merriman Associate Planner Department of Community Development cc: Stephanie Ray, Project Manager
