The site consists of parcels 21724142300 and 217241452200, both of which are zoned C-1 Commercial. The site lies in Section 24, Township 17N, Range 1 E. The project is comprised of a 0.57-acre site which will contain a newly constructed 4745SF dental office building and parking lot. The site will have ingress/egress paints from Solberg Street. Site improvements include a stormwater filtration system, starmwater infiltration system, domestic water service, fire hydrants, and STEP sewer system. The STEP system will also receive flow from a 28-seat teriyaki restaurant on an adjacent parcel and has been sized accordingly. Abbreviations Ft Variables: gal gallon gpd gallons per day PDF peak daily flaw SF square feet V volume Inflow Determination: The daily inflow to the STEP tank was determined using the December 1998 Washington State Department of Ecology's Criteria for Sewage Works Design Manual, herein referred to as the Manual. The dental facility was considered a "Doctor's office in medical center." Table G2-1 in the Manual was used to determine daily inflow to the STEP system from the dental facility and the restaurant using equations 1 and 2 respectively. Detention volume, defined as the volume of liquid below the lead pump OFF, was calculated using equation 4 far nonresidential strength waste. (4) DetejxtsonV ~ 2.OP.l~F = 2.0 ~` 3772.Sgal =7S45ga1 The tank was sized to have a minimum of 24 hours of storage volume, defined as the volume between the lead pump OFF and the top of the tank. The total tank volume required was calculated using equation 5. (5) V = DetentianV + Stor-ageV = 7S45gal + 3773ga1 = 11,318ga1 An 8-foot diameter, 12,000 gallon fiberglass tank was selected to meet the volume requirements. The required detention volume was used along with the Dipstick Calibration Chart (see Appendix A} for the specified tank to determine the set point far the lead pump OFF. This was determined to be 56.0" from the bottom of the tank. The set points for the lead pump ON, lag pump OFF, lag pump ON, and alarm ON were established using City of Yelm Detail 7-14 at b0.5", 62.0", 66.5", and 72.5" respectively. Working volumes for each of the pumps were calculated by taking the difference between the tank volumes at the pump ON and pump OFF set points. Equations b and 7 detail the calculations for the lead and lag pumps.
