Good Afternoon Sandy:
Bill Turner provided me a copy of your letter to him dated July 7, 2009,
and a copy of the "Nancy Breidenthal Conceptual Plan for the City of
Yelm" map dated 5/20/09. The conceptual plan shows that the subdivision
is in compliance with the CWPP policies for future development providing
space for future roads, utilities and open space.
The final plat map should show the areas for future right of way, and
labeled as such to ensure that no structures or other improvements occur
in that area. I don't have copies of the resubmitted materials, but I
believe that your comment #8 might be referring to future right of way?
If this is the case, the future right of way should be noted and
protected.
Again, without all reference and resubmitted materials, I am not sure if
this is already addressed, so I would like to restate our comment
regarding the water system.
The South Thurston County Coordinated Water System Plan adopted by the
City of Yelm and Thurston County limits the approval of new water
systems in unincorporated areas to satellite systems approved and
managed by the City of Yelm. It would be appropriate to address this
issue through the land use approval process and require any proposed
community water systems to be operated pursuant to the Coordinated Water
System Plan.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks and have a great day.
