Good afternoon Tami,
I do not see any reason for Fire Impact Fees. The square footage of the restrooms is so miniscule.

Hi Chris
I am just double checking on this. I thought I remembered questioning this in a phone conversation, but I could be confused.
Also, I know that we issue a no charge building permit for this building, so the City doesn’t charge itself. There are no school impact fee, but what about the fire impact fee? Are
we responsible for paying this for City buildings?

Good afternoon Tami,
I honestly do not believe fire coverage for this building would be required. I have seen plenty of these types of restrooms in parks near ball fields and have not seen any fire coverage
in the area.
I have not seen the plans for these restrooms, but I am aware that they are of non-combustible construction. The fire risk is low, and it is a low occupancy building.
The fire hydrant located across the street from the park in front of SETFA may cover the restroom if it can meet the 400’ hose pull requirement.
Please let me know if you need any further information.

Chris
I am working on the approval for the restrooms at Cochrane park. Can you tell me what type of fire coverage may be needed?
My GIS doesn’t show any fire hydrants on the site, or in the street along the frontage. There are hydrants to the north and south of the property on the other side of the street.
Does this two facility restroom with mechanical room require fire coverage?
