A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON, ALLOWING BUSINESSES
TO DISPLAY TEMPORARY SIGNS WITHOUT A PERMIT FROM NOVEMBER 10TH
THROUGH JANUARY 7TH OF ANY GIVEN YEAR
WHEREAS, Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 18.62.040 intent is to provide local
business owners the opportunity to display additional advertising for grand openings,
new ownership or sales events but is limited in duration; and
WHEREAS, businesses in the City of Yelm desire additional advertisement to
draw in customers during the holiday season; and
WHEREAS, all signs defined as Temporary Signs shall be in exceptional order and
comply with the requirements of Yelm Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm would like to encourage patronage of local
businesses and would like to remove unnecessary barriers during the holiday season.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Yelm as
follows:
THAT: Resolution No. 646 allowing businesses to display temporary signs without
a permit from November 10th through January 7th of any given year is hereby approved.
