Request for Deferral of Public Road Frontage Improvements
Dear Mr. Colt:
On behalf of the proponent, Peterson Brothers, Inc., we are formally requesting a deferral of public road
frontage improvements associated with the above -stated project.
DEFERRAL SUMMARY.'
The installation of frontage improvements could be more efficiently and effectively implemented if done
concurrently with other developments along the same road frontage.
Comment: Rhoton Road is currently a two-lane "local" paved road approximately 22 feet in width, with
narrow gravel shoulders and poorly defined roadside ditches for storm water conveyance. The existing
right-of-way width is fifty (50) feet in the vicinity of the project site. To deviate from the continuity of the
current travelled way with barricades, curbs, gutters and increased width could introduce confusion among
drivers resulting in an unsafe condition. Since the frontage is only 165 feet in length, it would be much more
cost effective and less disruptive to the community if all road improvements and future utility extensions
were done concurrently.
