TAHOMA TERRA 4, 5 & 6 2025-03-31REAssoc version: 5.1.22059.810 Project Information Project: TAHOMA TERRA 4, 5 & 6 Location: YELM, WA Owner: Designer: rjr Date: April 3, 2025 Facing & Geogrid Facing Unit: GravityStone Edge (CAN) Geogrid: Stratagrid Geotechnical Information Zone Phi coh gamma Reinforced 36 20 120 Retained 36 20 120 Foundation 32 50 120 Leveling Pad 40 0 135 Summary GravityStone Edge earth retaining walls are proposed for this site. The site soils are a silty sand material. The backfill should a silty sand with less than 20% fines. Along the retention pond the 2:1 slope below the wall caused some global stability concerns. The bottom three layers of geogrid were lengthened to 24 ft with the upper layers left at 10ft and 12 ft. Where the geogrid interferes with the foundations, the upper layer may be cut back as necessary. 7/9/22 Revised layouts on walls 11 and 13. Added walls 14 and 15. 7/28/23 Rev 3 Added wall 16 for Tract E to lot 55. 9/14/23 Rev 4 Walls 12 and 14 revised. The soil parameters used for this preliminary quantity estimate were assumed based on parameters provided. Actual on-site conditions may differ from the assumed conditions and may cause the estimated quantities to change. This preliminary quantity estimates for GravityStone Edge and is meant to assist the contractor in preparation of a bid package. It does not include additional materials that may or may not be required to construct the wall(s) including but not limited to waste, filter fabric, drain tile or other materials to address drop structures and other obstructions in the reinforced zone. It is the responsibility of the contractor to verify these quantities provided through their own estimate. Race Engineering Assoc. accepts no responsibility or any discrepancies between quantities provided in this estimate and quantities required by the final approved design.
