HomeMy WebLinkAbout03 04 2025 Study Session MinutesT. 1924 -71 WASHINGTON CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MEETING MINUTES VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON TUESDAY, March 4, 2025 Call to Order: Mayor Pro -tem Joshua Crossman called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM Roll Call: Tracey Wood, Joseph Richardson, Joshua Crossman, Stephanie Kangiser, Brian Hess, Trevor Palmer, Terry Kaminski, and Joe DePinto. Staff Present: City Administrator Todd Stancil, City Clerk Kathy Linnemeyer, Assistant Police Chief Tillman Atkins, HR Director Karen Bennett and Public Services Director Cody Colt DISCUSSION ITEMS Flock Camera Presentation —Assistant Chief Atkins delivered a presentation on the Flock Camera system, providing insight into its capabilities and demonstrating the types of information police officers can access within the system. Roundabout Updates— Public Services Director Cody Colt provided a presentation on roundabouts, including updates on the status of ongoing roundabout construction projects. Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Contract Negotiations Update — City Administrator Todd Stancil gave an update on the ongoing contract negotiations with FOP. Mayor Report— Provided updates on the Legislative Session, highlighting potential funding in the capital budget for a veteran's memorial project, the Yelm Loop and roundabouts. COUNCIL INITIATIVES Tracey Wood —Thinks we should paint the Police vehicles black and white. Terry Kaminski — Provided a report and expressed interest in seeing the 640 -acre development modeled after Seabrook.
