Project Description:
The City of Yelm proposes to develop the Veterans Memorial Park, located at 15425 State Route 507 SE and
adjacent parcels. Planned improvements include site grading, utility installation, landscaping, and public
amenities to support a community memorial and recreation space.
Findings:
Two City of Yelm staff with certification from the US Fish & Wildlife Service made several site visits over a
period of two years during the June 1 – October 30 window for conducting surveys. No pocket gopher activity
was observed on these parcels.
