The section of the primed plumbing loop from the furthest fixture and returning to the water heater. a. This shall be minimum 3 4" tubing and fittings. b. Velocity in this section of the primed plumbing loop is not to exceed 2 ft/sec. 3. Tubing and fitting runout to fixtures from the primed plumbing loop. a. Requires less than 16 ounces volume. b. 16 ounces = 13.5' total length of 1 2" PEX-a tubing. Recommendations: i. All branch lines from main recirculation loop to fixture shall be 1 2" PEX-a. ii.Where sizing allows 2 hot water fixtures to be served by a single 1 2" branch line, the maximum of 13.5 linear ft applies to each fixture independently. 4. Recirculation pump as required by authority having jurisdiction. Conditions: x All tubing is PEX-a and all fittings meet ASTM F1960 standard (expansion) to the point of termination at fixtures. x Hot water distribution pipe sizing to conform to accepted Washington State and local code requirements.
