Call to Order: Mayor Joe DePinto called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM.
Roll Call: Tracey Wood, Joseph Richardson, Griselda Arias, Stephanie Kangiser,
Brian Hess, David Johnstone, Terry Kaminski, and Mayor Joe DePinto.
Staff Present: City Administrator Todd Stancil, City Clerk Kathy Linnemeyer, Finance
Director Stephanie Dice, and Public Services Director Cody Colt.
APPROVAL OF THE Motion by Tracey Wood to approve the agenda.
Seconded by Terry Kaminski

STANDING COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Public Services Committee — Councilmember Richardson gave a report of the Public
Services Committee meeting.
General Government Committee — Councilmember Arias gave a report of the General
Government Committee meeting.
MAYOR/CITY ADMINISTRATOR/STAFF REPORTS:
City Administrator — Gave department updates.
Mayor Report — Attended the Economic Development Council (EDC) meeting.
COUNCILMEMBER REPORTS:
Councilmember Wood —Attended the Thurston 911 Communications (TCOMM) meeting.
Councilmember Arias —Attended the South Thurston Economic Development Initiative
(STEDI) meeting and met with the Chair of the Regional Housing Council.
Councilmember Kangiser — Encouraged all members to continue expanding their
knowledge and professional development. She shared information about training she has
attended as part of her progress toward earning the Certificate of Municipal Leadership
(CML) through the Association of Washington Cities (AWC). She also noted her upcoming
attendance at a Mayor Pro Tem training. Additionally, she announced that Olympia has
appointed a new Police Chief and reported that the Southeast Thurston Fire Authority
hosted an open house earlier that day.
Councilmember Hess —Attended the Intercity Transit meeting and continues to advocate
for Yelm.
Councilmember Johnstone —Attended the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Council
meeting.
Councilmember Kaminski —Attended the Nisqually River Council meeting and the Law and
Justice meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Tracey Wood to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 PM.
